Colmar Tropicale, Bukit Tinggi Pahang, Malaysia

The Main Entrance
Low Angle
Romantic Re-interpretation of Colmar Village
Entrance to Colmar
A French-themed Resort
Love Swans
Like a picture postcard come alive at your doorstep, Colmar Tropicale, located in Bukit Tinggi, Pahang, is a replica of a collection of buildings from a northeastern village in France dating back to the 16th Century. Accessible via the picturesque Karak Highway, the resort is only 40 minutes from Kuala Lumpur, and the latest addition to Bukit Tinggi Resort, a renowned multicultural resort destination. Surrounded by lush tropical forest land, the 260 units of hotel rooms and one to six-bedroom suites are made up of eight blocks of architectural wonder, each with its unique style, from its colourful roof tiles to cobblestone ground.

The accommodation is an artful combination of old style decor in warm pastel colours matched with modern amenities designed for maximum comfort. There are eight choices of dining outlets serving various specialties. Haute French cuisine is served at La Cigogne, a hodge podge of culinary delights at Le Cafe Coffee House, exotic cocktails and assorted beverages at the Le Blason Lounge, cool refreshments and snacks at Les-Bains-Douches Poolside, home made pastries at La Flamme Sidewalk Deli, sandwiches and various blends of coffee at La Terrace, mouthwatering ice-cream at Le Glacier Ice-Cream Corner, or tuck into a hearty meal at Le Poulet Roti Roast Chicken. Central to the village is Colmar Square where the aroma of the blooms will tantalise your senses.

There are fountains and park benches in the square for relaxation after a hard day's work browsing in the 17 theme shops, or should one wish to take a breather from participating in the various activities. The drawbridge reminiscent of ancient castles, clock tower with an original cuckoo bird clock, and the viewing tower complements the ambience.

Located 22kms North of bustling Kuala Lumpur is Templer's Park. A tropical paradise where cool clear mountain waters cut through lush evergreen forest.

Untouched by the rapid development of a modern city, yet only half an hours drive away, Templer's Park beckons you to take a dip at the waterfalls and trek through its jungle path.

Templer's Park offers peace, quiet and relaxation with its fresh air and breath taking beauty.

Putrajaya Malaysia - Intelligent Garden City

Putrajaya is an administration centre of Malaysia that is located in the Multimedia Super Corridor (MSC) area. Putrajaya is third Federal Territory of Malaysia; the other two being Kuala Lumpur and Labuan.

Putrajaya covers an area of 4,931 hectares of land, is situated 25 kilometres from the capital city of Kuala Lumpur in the north and 20 kilometres from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) at Sepang in the south.

Putrajaya is the new Administrative Centre of the Federal Government of Malaysia. The development of Putrajaya marks a new chapter in the history of modern city planning in Malaysia. It is set to be a model garden city with sophisticated information network base on multimedia technologies.

Termed as Malaysia's first Intelligent Garden City, Putrajaya will become a vital development catalyst due to the role it will assume as a model city - as the nerve centre of the nation and an ideal place to live, work, conduct business and engage in sports and recreational activities.

It was a fun outing with the rest of the PhotoMalaysia members. The weather is hot and the track is like desert. I ran around the track for hours not to photograph the cars but to avoid the dust.

Here are the pictures...

Dong Zen Fo Guang Shan Temple @ Jenjarom, Selangor Malaysia

Dong Zen Fo Guang Shan Temple

A Small Pond In The Middle Of The Temple
View all 5 photos...
The temple is located at Sungai Jarom, Jenjarom, Kuala Langat, Selangor. The temple is completed 2 years ago and last year was their first grand celebration of Chinese New Year. This year I grab every opportunity I can to visit this beautifully decorated temple.

I actually went to the temple twice this year with the intention to take nice photos of the temple. The first time, I was late. I had only 15 minutes to shoot before the temple closes at 10.00pm.

Then for the 2nd time, I went to the temple together with my GF and another photographer. I did manage to get a few good shots. Here they are.

The feeling is like China when you first step into the temple.

Wow awesome! Good job! Next year's CNY will be more happening, must go to take again ya. Looking forward to see the new pics. ^^ Fri 2-Nov-2007 15:06

National Zoo, Selangor Malaysia

This is another outing with Nazley and Zul at Zoo Negara. Here is some information about Zoo Negara Malaysia.

The country’s national zoo, Zoo Negara was officially opened to the public in 1963. It started out on a 17ha piece of land and was gradually expanded to cover a total area of 25ha.

Within the grounds are more than 4,000 animals from some 400-plus species. Of these, the majority are fish and bird species while about a hundred are mammals and the remainder, reptiles.

A high percentage of the animals here are local; therefore, a visit to Zoo Negara will be informative for tourists keen to know more about the indigenous animal life in Malaysia.
The Tunku Abdul Rahman Aquarium which is found here displays more than 130 species of fish.

Admission:
RM10 – Adult (Camera Allowed, Video Camera Pay Extra?)
RM5 - Child
( Source: allmalaysia.info/news/attraction.asp?id=3&pt=8 )

Now, let's go to the zoo, that's lots of things to do. KFC jingle long time ago.

Fishing Village, Bukit Melawati & Taman Alam @ Kuala Selangor,MY

Fishing Boat Back From Sea

Light House At Bukit Melawati
View all 4 photos...
Zaidi and me decided to shoot some fishing village in Kuala Selangor. Then we went to Bukit Melawati and then later to Taman Alam to shoot (photograph) some birds.

Left Subang Jaya at 8.00 am and reached Kuala Selangor at 9.30 am. Took a wrong turn almost ended lost. Fortunately, we stopped and asked for direction.

As we are deciding the place to have lunch, we ended up at Tg. Karang which is 10km north of Kuala Selangor. We found a huge padi field but it was dried up.

Due the abnormal drought season in Malaysia this year, the starting of new padi season is expected to start only in April. Normally, it will start end of March.

A few collection of windows ...

Window fetish perhaps? I have a lot more windows picture in my hardisk. Just couldn't find them.

Why this fetish? Too eager to find out what's behind those windows?
Babes changin' clothes? Bulgary? Rave party Inside, nerds outside? Lovers doing what they usually do at night, on bed?

Psst! I am a Windows supporter. Mac users, shooo shooo ... (just j/k)
